Whey Protein or Casein Protein?
What is the difference between whey protein and casein protein? And when do you take it? Whey protein is awesome for post-workouts because it digests quickly. Experts say it takes about 30 minutes to digest. Casein Protein, on the other hand, takes 2 - 7 hours to digest. Casein protein is great to take at night before you go to bed. The casein protein stays in your body when your body has little or no protein left to dispense to your muscles.
